Butterflies, Sewing and a Burning Question
Well, UPS delivered The Application to Heeling Allies Tuesday morning, so the butterflies are Officially Running Rampant in both of our tummies, but in an excited Good Las Vegas way. We’ve gotten the deposit for The Helper Googie made, but we still need the rest and that is where *I’m* starting to waver, as this feels like a daunting task and I can NOT screw this up. It’s pretty overwhelming at the moment, but if I take this in chucks and bits, I get the strangest feeling I can make this happen. No, I know I can make this happen.
I also managed to knock out 15 Platypus Pouches in 15 hours (staying up most of the night and sewing) as well as delivering them to The Bookstore at UMT, because I decided to change my mind mid stream and sew up the new Susan fabric that came in the other day (It is STUNNING, BTW, and yes you MUST go and look at it). Steve has his first Organic Chem test today and then turns around and has a Pre-Calc test on Friday. Unfortunately, he’s having and even harder time this semester then we had anticipated with those two classes on top of his Geology mineral and field studies classes and is feeling very, very overwhelmed. It’s been an uphill battle to help him through; being his only cheerleader, and reassure him that even though he bombed the first quizzes, there were just that, first quizzes and he can make this work. His Tutor (We like to call him The Tutor because he reminds us of a proper English Professor and all he needs are the robes) has been working with him 2-4 times a week, and has a LOT of faith in him. A lot of people do, but Steve’s brain is really playing havoc on him. Now we just need for him to reach in and find it. I’ve also gotten my very first ever Montana Cold Bug. On the positive side? Starbucks Peppermint Hot Chocolate is yummy on a raw throat and you can actually taste it through the yuck, I ran 3 miles on Monday and biked 7 yesterday, and I’m not denying myself Lifesavers (even if they are sugary) to help take the edge off the throat.
So in my mailbox yesterday morning was my Burning Question from Danielle LaPorte, an inspiring individual I have found that really speaks to my Chaos Control. She posted: “Your day, kissing, next success, friendships, nervous system, money-making…How do you want it all to feel?” LOL, oh I’m so going to open up this Can ‘O Worms. )Oh, and I should say having just finished this exercise, you can totally see my Inner Geek coming out on a few of these answers!)

A little about us….
We welcome you to our digital keep! We are currently residing in Montana while Steve completes his B.S. in Geosciences at the University of Montana. Steve served in the U.S. Army for 10 years in artillery and was stationed in Korea as well as all over the states. Keri has begun a new chapter in her life and started up her own company, Platypus Pouches, a soft-sided case that holds various different types of electronic gadgets, cell phones, tablets, eReaders and computer equipment. Although we are no longer in Washington State, Keri is still cooking up her Sunday Night Chef's Select Suppers where if you show up, chances are you will get fed something yummy. We are looking forward to our first Spring and Summer seasons of Montana and hope to get out and go travel into Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks were Keri can snap a few photos and Steve and go lick rocks. Oh and just an FYI, we are both fiercely owned by Edelbrock T. Cat, our six year-old black cat who is the Dominar of our Keep as well as the Cans of Tuna.Like Us on Facebook!
